The Sin Compromiso brand was developed with a cause in mind, which was to create a premium cigar “with no compromise.” And every cause has a champion. The Sin Compromiso Paladin de Saka is that champion (as its name implies). It took Steve Saka, Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust’s founder, 24 months to develop the blend for the Paladin. But it was time well spent. It features an oily, rich dark chocolate Mexican San Andres wrapper that is expertly placed over an Ecuadorian Habano binder and filler composed of Nicaraguan and USA Pennsylvania leaves. The wrapper is grown using a traditional Japanese method referred to as “cultivo tonto,” which requires that the bottom leaves from the tobacco plant are removed so that the upper leaves get the most nutrients. Thereby, creating a remarkably flavorful wrapper. Once rolled, the cigars are aged for one year so that the flavors have time to mature. The finished cigars are sleeved in cedar to preserve their flavor and freshness. This ultra-premium, medium-bodied Churchill is handmade in Nicaragua.
