The production of this popular tobacco leaf has earned Arapiraca the nickname of "Brazilian Tobacco Capital". Arapiraca tobacco is thicker than Mata Fina but more subtle in both flavor and aroma. It is used to add complexity to a blend.

Piloto Cubano is full bodied while the Dominican Olor tobacco is milder but more aromatic.
