The Te Amo The Original San Andres cigar line is known for its rich heartiness. The cigars are made exclusively of Mexican San Andres tobacco from wrapper to filler, which is known for its strength and flavor and delivering a robust smoking experience. The Te-Amo brand is owned by the Turrent family, and the cigars are handmade at their historic factory in Mexico.

The Robusto is a short Churchill size, traditionally 5 to 5.5 inches by a 50 ring gauge.

Mexican San Andres tobacco is highly regarded by cigar aficionados for its close resemblance to the Connecticut broadleaf. It is used primarily as a binder or wrapper. As for flavor, Mexican San Andres tobacco exudes peppery notes with a sweetness you usually find in Maduro cigars.

Mexican tobacco is very dark and the best leaves can be used as maduro wrappers. In San Andres de Tuxtla (in the state of Vera Cruz), there is a very interesting production of Sumatra seed wrappers. Dark air cured tobaccos are produced in Mexico, mainly in Vera Cruz and Tampico provinces, on the East Coast along the Gulf. There is also some production in Yucatan. Mexico's volcanic soil yields tobacco that is spicy and earthy, with a very distinctive flavor.
