  • NeptuneCigar.com  This humidifier is reusable. Once the gel shrinks, simply add distilled water to recharge. How soon you have to recharge depends on how often the humidor is opened and what the climate is like where you live. You may need to recharge every month to three months.

  • Matt   So I have the Xikar brand of these and the plastic top doesnt stay on once the CI-Gel exspand. Does the inner cap actually keep the gels from coming out??

  • NeptuneCigar.com  It helps to prevent spillages, but if the gel is expanding so much that top pops off, then you will want to use less activation solution/distilled water the next time you refill.
