The Cavalier Geneve White Series is a new cigar we just started to carry and it caught my eye the moment I saw it at the store. The cigar has a gold leaf on the wrapper of the cigar which gives it a very elegant look. I chose to try the white series early in the morning with my coffee. As this is the original blend for this cigar, I felt I needed to try it out before I try any of their other blends. The cigar has a very attractive price point and looks very cool unlike any other cigar I’ve seen. While the gold leaf did not add any flavor it does look very pleasing to the eye. The cigar started off with sweet notes that lasted the entire smoke. The cigar had some woody earthy and floral notes that I really paired well with my coffee. The cigar has a perfect draw and burned really well; I had to do one small touch up but it smoked beautifully the rest of the way. I definitely will be smoking this again and looking forward to trying the black series and other blends when they become available. A great morning cigar with very soft and creamy flavors. I think most mild to medium cigar smokers will enjoy this cigar. Picked on 03/05/2025

WOW! This is a cigar I have been meaning to review for a while now and I felt guilty not sharing something this phenomenal with everyone. The first thing that stood out to me was how aesthetically pleasing the cigar, band and box are. Whenever I get asked by any of our clients “Do you have Cuban cigars” I immediately take them to this one. While not made in Cuba it reminds me of a Cuban cigar in both looks and taste. I have had the pleasure of trying authentic Cuban cigars and this one gave me similar flavors that scratch that Cuban itch whenever I am craving one. This cigar was made and blended by Nelson Alfonso, the creator of Atabey, Byron, and the designer of the Cohiba Behike band among other legendary cigars. Upon first lighting this cigar I was immediately blown away by how much flavor this guy packed. The light shade of the wrapper scared me a little but man what a pleasant surprise. The cigar starts off floral with a lot of woody earthy notes and slowly start to builds up in strength and flavor with many transitions of flavor throughout. I have recommended this cigar hundreds of times and I hear nothing but good things when they return after smoking it. This cigar is offered in many different sizes but this size was perfect for me and provided a little over an hour of the most enjoyable smoking experience I have had in a while. These cigars are aged unlike any of their counterparts. After the cigars are rolled, they are placed in cedar wood rooms reminiscent of wooden barrels used in whisky aging. These rooms are constructed from a unique blend of five different types of cedar wood, spanning from floor to ceiling. The humidity levels are carefully controlled, fluctuating daily. This process is one of the most unique aging processes I have encountered and it sets Atabey cigars apart from all others. This is an absolute must try! Picked on 02/18/2025
Rocky Patel Emerald Toro 61/2 * 54

The newest line from Rocky Patel cigars debuts an Ecuadorian habano wrapper over binders from Mexico and Nicaragua and fillers from Nicaragua making for one hell of a cigar. The first thing that caught my eye with this cigar was the bright green color they chose to dress this cigar with. After that caught my interest the price made it a sure deal for me to give it a try. The cigar has an Ecuadorian Habano leaf which for whoever knows me knows is my favorite wrapper. The cigar tasted amazing and burnt beautifully, I am not the biggest fan of Rocky Patel cigars but this one was the one for me. Notes of sweetness and woodiness start immediately with a touch of spice that fades away after the first half inch. I paired this with a coconut water which seems like a strange combination but just typing this is making me want to have that pairing again. Its a medium bodied cigar that is so smooth that even a mild smoker will enjoy this cigar without being overwhelmed while still having so much complexity and flavors that full bodied smokers will also never get bored of it. This was a pleasant surprise and I will definitely be smoking more of this in the future. Picked on 01/29/2025

The Ashton Symmetry has been my favorite stick since I first smoked it 3 months ago. Ive been enjoying this smoke so much I’m having trouble convincing myself to try anything else. Ive smoked a bunch of these guys and not a single stick was anything less than perfect. From the moment I lite it up I got notes of natural sweetness, woody, earthy, and a very subtle cocoa. I smoke this one at work and even when I set it down for longer than I should it stays on and stays delicious. I have recommended this cigar and I have yet to hear anything but good feedback. This has entered my top 3 and I find that it will be very hard to dethrone. If you are not a fan of spice and you want something under $20 that will blow you away, this one did that for me. The Davidoff Winston Churchill Churchill pays homage to the legendary British statesman, delivering a refined and complex smoking experience worthy of its name, so you know I had to give it a try. The Ecuadorian Habano wrapper is one of my favorite wrappers with a smooth, slightly oily sheen. The cigar is a masterpiece and is just aesthetically pleasing to look at. The Churchill size is typically not the size I go for, but I had to try the Winston Churchill in a Churchill. Upon lighting, the cigar opens with an avalanche of flavors. Notes of wood, cream, and a subtle citrus tang dominate the palate. Very light spice and natural sweetness and an amazing draw. I didn't have to relight or touch up the cigar the entire way through. As the cigar progresses, the complexity deepens. The pepper fades, giving the spotlight to richer flavors of cocoa, roasted coffee, and wood notes. The final third delivers tons of flavor, with a bolder profile emerging. Earthy tones and a touch of espresso are complemented by lingering notes of cedar and dark chocolate. This cigar was a pleasant surprise as I did not expect to enjoy it as much as I did. I purchased 2 more and tossed them in my humidor to age and will take them out the next time I want a cigar that I know for a fact will not disappoint. Picked on 12/05/2024

My pick for the week was something I never tried before but it peaked my interest the moment I cracked the box open. The Red Anchor Admiral right from the start reminded me of the Padron 1964 Natural with how smooth the draw was and the amount of airflow. The slightly oily Ecuadorian Habano wrapper has that natural sweetness I crave. On the palate, the Red Anchor Admiral opens with a burst of woody and cedar notes, accompanied by a subtle sweetness that hints at dried fruit and cocoa. As I continued smoking the cigar notes of leather, pepper, and nutty flavors emerged making their presence known, providing complexity and depth without overwhelming my senses. The smoke is dense and creamy, leaving a pleasant finish with hints of spice and chocolate. The strength is medium to full, making it a satisfying cigar for both seasoned smokers and those looking to elevate their palate. Its transitions and balance make it an ideal choice for a leisurely evening smoke, pairing beautifully with a dark rum or whiskey. In summary, the Red Anchor Admiral offered a premium, flavorful experience with plenty of complexity that did not bore me and kept me wanting more, making it a must-try for aficionados who appreciate quality and are looking for something new. Every now and then you pick up a cigar that you don’t expect much just to be blown away by how amazing of a smoke it is. The Rocky Patel Decade Torpedo was that cigar for me. I was going to pick up my usual A.L.R but decided to try this one as I had never smoked it before and what a pleasant surprise this was. This cigar was crafted to exemplify the quality and craftsmanship for which Rocky Patel is renowned and as a tribute to the brand’s 10th anniversary. As soon as I lit it up I was pleasantly surprised with multiple notes and a beautiful aroma. The cigar gave me earthy and woody notes, complemented by a peppery spice that lingers on the palate but is short lived. The draw was incredibly smooth, producing thick, creamy smoke with each puff. As the cigar progresses, hints of coffee and leather emerged, adding depth to the flavor profile making it impossible to put down. Towards the end of the cigar the flavors intensified, with the earthiness and coffee notes becoming more pronounced and the spice completely disappearing which was a huge plus for me. If you like medium to full-bodied smokes I highly recommend giving this a try and I am certain it will become a staple in your humidor as it has in mine. Picked on 09/04/2024

The La Flor Dominicana Cameroon Cabinet No. 5 has a rich, oily Cameroon wrapper with a reddish-brown hue. The construction is flawless, firm to the touch with no soft spots. As soon as I lit the cigar I got hints of cedar, earth, and a subtle sweetness. The draw is smooth, revealing notes of spice, leather, and a faint cocoa flavor. A third of the way through the cigar the pepper subsides slightly, giving way to more pronounced earthy and creamy notes, the sweetness from the wrapper intensifies, offering hints of caramel. One of my favorite full bodied cigars I've tried in a while and it will be one of the staples in my humidor. The Cameroon wrapper is what drew me to this cigar and I was not the least bit disappointed. The unique sweetness that beautifully complements the cigar's bold flavors, making it a perfect cigar if you are looking for a full bodied smoke. I enjoyed this with a Cuban coffee and I enjoyed every minute of it. Picked on 07/16/2024

This is one I have been meaning to try for sometime and I'm glad I finally did. Full body cigar with phenomenal construction and a great burn. I'm not a fan of spice and initially I thought it would be a little on the spicy side but the spice was subtle in the beginning and quickly faded and the sweet, nutty, and creamy notes took over. The last 2/3 of the cigar was absolutely delicious and its what's going to keep this cigar in my humidor at all times. Very smooth cigar with a nice kick that continues to smooth out as you smoke it. Had it with a cappuccino and couldn't have been happier. If you want an LFD but more on the mellow side this is the cigar for you. Picked on 06/07/2024

A Maduro Ecuadorian Sumatra seed cigar that packs a punch. A cigar created to commemorate the year Villiger cigars were created. The first third comes in with lots of peppery and leathery notes while letting off a very pleasant aroma. The second third was very smooth and I was really starting to enjoy the cigar a lot more than I expected. The last third is where the chocolate honey sweet notes started to come in and I have to say it was a very pleasant experience. The strong beginning and slow gradual decline in strength and strong flavors was a big plus for me as I am not the biggest fan of peppery notes. This paired very well with a Cuban coffee and its definitely going to be one of the cigars I keep on hand. The burn was perfect did not need to relight the cigar at all and it had a very slow and even burn. One of the best affordable sticks I've had in a while. Villiger did not disappoint, B+. This time I went for something I don’t usually smoke, this cigar was rated one of the top 5 cigars of 2022 which peaked my interest. Rocky Patel loves to celebrate any big milestone and for his 60th birthday he unveiled this cigar. It is a boxed pressed cigar and the first note that immediately hit me once I lit this bad boy up was chocolate. The chocolate comes in from start to finish and has undertones of coffee, Earthy, nut and a very slight spice. I am not usually a fan of spice in cigars but I have to say this was one of my favorite new smokes and I have already stashed some in my humidor. I smoked this cigar with an espresso iced coffee and I haven’t enjoyed a cigar this much in a while. Picked on 11/03/2023

As of lately every time I want a nice enjoyable smoke I find my self looking at San Cristobal cigars. The San Cristobal Revelation was my newest surprise from this brand and boy it did not disappoint. The 6 x 52 size of this cigar makes for a very enjoyable hour of smoking. The Colorado Maduro wrapper made from an Ecuadorian Sumatra leaf provides a very nice full bodied smoke that is perfect when you want a cigar to knock you off your feet. The cigar offered delicious warm coffee notes that for me I look for in a cigar, slight pepper under tones that I usually am not a fan of but I found very pleasant this time around. The construction and draw have yet to disappoint and I am very impressed with the overall quality of San Cristobal cigars. I highly recommend these for anyone's humidor and to have one with a cup of coffee is unbeatable. Picked on 09/12/2023
