Drew Estate’s factory in Esteli, Nicaragua is often touted as unique in the cigar world. That is in part because of artwork created at the factory that can be seen throughout every room or hallway, on hand crafted furniture, paintings, sculptures and murals. Through the imagination of the artists at Subculture Studios, one can see a monument to Nicaraguan culture, the tradition of cigar making, and the modern innovation that made Drew Estate’s mark in the cigar world. Jonathan Drew, founder of Drew Estate, moved to Nicaragua in 1999, and quickly developed a close relationship with Nicaraguan graffiti artists that he recruited for a project that has developed into a one of a kind branding style that appears in every cigar, cigar box, and accessory that Drew Estate produces.
