John Rolfe: Princes Pocahontas’ Husband & Tobacco Grower

In 1612, the struggling settlement of Jamestown, Virginia hit the mother lode when they began to cultivate tobacco. John Rolfe, who was married to Princess Pocahontas (a Native American), is considered the first settler to grow, sell, and export tobacco. Soon everyone in the community started growing tobacco and the settlement was saved. If you’re looking for a cigar with tobacco that was grown in the USA, we suggest the FSG 20 Acre Farm.
