While Cuba is known as the cigar capital of the world, did you know that the construction of cigar as we know it started it Spain? According to cigar historians, it wasn’t until around 1676, that the practice of rolling a cigar by using a filler, binder, and wrapper was started in Sevilla, Spain. This method made it easier to create cigars of superior construction, and an excellent draw, consistently. It also allowed cigar crafters to experiment with different blends.
