Should you keep your cigar naked, in its cellophane wrapper, or glass or aluminum tube? This is the biggest question facing cigar aficionados of all stripes. The answer? It depends. If you plan to store your cigars in a properly maintained humidor, you can keep the cellophane wrapper or remove it. The cellophane protects your cigar and it helps maintain the cigar’s humidity and flavor. Glass or aluminum tubes offer better protection if you plan to travel with your cigars, but if you are going to keep them in a humidor, it’s recommended that you remove the tube since it allows the air to circulate.
