A medium-strength cigar with enticing coffee, spicy, peppery and earthy notes. Its red-hued Honduran Corojo wrapper covers a Cameroon binder and a Nicaraguan and Dominican filler leaves. The Gurkha Revenant Corojo Toro is handmade in the Dominican Republic at the Tabacalera El Artista factory.

  The Gurkha Revenant Corojo is a medium strength cigar that sports a Honduran Corojo Colorado wrapper placed over a Cameroon binder and filler composed of Nicaraguan and Dominican Corojo 98 leaves. The blend was developed by Ram Rodriguez of Tabacalera El Artista. It is the first time that El Artista has crafted a cigar for Gurkha. A Revenant is a ghost-like entity that seeks revenge on the people who wronged it when it was alive.

  A box pressed cigar is a cigar that has a square shape. Today, cigar makers use square shaped molds or a wooden trunk press for their box pressed cigars, achieving a more defined square section.

While tobacco and cigars have always traditionally been produced in the Dominican Republic, many Cuban cigar makers established in the Dominican Republic after the Cuban communist revolution, elevating the quality of Dominican cigars.

  Established in 1956, the Tabacalera El Artista S.R.L. is a family owned cigar crafter that is located in the Dominican Republic. Also known as El Artista, this seed-to-cigar company primarily creates cigars for various brands throughout the world. They also produce their own brands such as the Exactus, Pulita, Cimarron, and Buffalo Ten. In collaboration with David Ortiz, a well-known baseball player, El Artista created the Big Papi cigar.

  Corojo wrapper was first developed in Cuba in the 1930s and quickly became popular as the wrapper on some of the best cigars. By the end of the 90s, Cuba stopped growing Corojo wrapper because of its susceptibility to pests and diseases. Ironically, Corojo wrapper has since become more popular outside of Cuba, as it has been replicated in tobacco farms in Nicaragua, Honduras, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic.
