Joya de Nicaragua has been crafting memorable premium cigars for 55 years. To commemorate this special anniversary, they released the Cinco de Cinco (which is Spanish for “five of five”). The blend is composed of ultra-vintage tobaccos and consists of a dark chocolatey Mexican San Andres maduro wrapper that expertly cloaks a Nicaraguan binder and filler. To create the blend, Joya collected hundreds of blending records and assigned their master blenders the task of developing the perfect blending recipe. The final blend scored a five-out-of-five in terms of profile and complexity, and it became the Cinco de Cinco. The cigars are skillfully handmade at Joya’s factory in Nicaragua.

The Robusto is a short Churchill size, traditionally 5 to 5.5 inches by a 50 ring gauge.

Cigar sections can be box-pressed, oval, or round. A mixed section is when the cigar maker creates the same cigar blend and the same size but offers a choice between a box-pressed, oval, and/or round section.

This cigar is 5"1/2 inches long, or 139.7 mm.

Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.

The cigar ring gauge corresponds to the diameter of a cigar, this cigar has a ring gauge of 54, so his diameter is 54/64 inches or 21.34 mm.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Maduro wrapper can go from dark coffee brown with a reddish tint to blackish brown (the latter also called Oscuro).

Handmade cigars are completely made by hand from start to finish.

Joya de Nicaragua was founded in 1968, the first factory to make premium handmade cigars in Nicaragua. Located in Esteli and now owned by Dr. Alejandro Martinez Cuenca, the Fabrica de Tabacos Joya de Nicaragua S.A. is 100% Nicaraguan owned and operated.

The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Mexican tobacco is very dark and the best leaves can be used as maduro wrappers. San Andres Maduro is a thick, medium bodied dark leaf, also called San Andres Morron. Like Connecticut Broadleaf, San Andres Maduro is stalk cut and used for binder and wrapper.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together. 
Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.

Filler is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar.
