  Since 2014, Crowned Heads has issued a version of the La Calaveras Edicion Limitada cigar line, which honors the Day of the Dead (a Mexican holiday that is a celebration of life and remembrance of friends and family members that have passed on). For the 2024 release, the cigar features a savory Ecuadorian Habano wrapper draped over a binder and filler made of Nicaraguan tobaccos, which are grown on farms owned by Jose “Don Pepin” Garcia and his family. When lit, this limited-edition cigar offers a medium to full-bodied smoking experience with a deep complexity and an invigorating retro-hale. Mexican Pink, a hot pink hue that is popular in Mexican culture, plays a major role in the 2024’s band and box design. The color was used as a nod to Ramon Valdiosera, a Mexican painter and fashion designer, who popularized it.

  Ecuadorian Habano wrapper has become one of the most used cigar wrappers in the market. Grown primarily by the Oliva family, this tobacco originated from Habano or H2000 seeds brought to Ecuador from Cuba. This leaf is rich and flavorful thanks to the temperate climate of Ecuador and the quality of its volcanic soil.
