Murcielago Shikaka TAA Exclusive 2024 Toro Oval 6" * 54

A medium-strength smoke with a smooth creamy profile accented with coffee, spicy, and earthy notes. Its light-brown Ecuadorian Connecticut-seed Shade wrapper drapes a binder and filler made of Nicaraguan leaves. The Shikaka (aka great white bat) is a line extension to the ever-popular Murcielago line. The cigar was named Shikaka due to its light-shade wrapper color. It is also a nod to the film “Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls” featuring Jim Carrey. The cigars are handmade at AJ Fernandez’s San Lotano factory in Nicaragua. The Murcielago Shikaka TAA Exclusive 2024 Toro Oval cigar is only available through members of the Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA), which Neptune Cigars is a proud member of.  This is a limited-edition cigar.   Cuban expatriate AJ Fernandez produces handmade cigars in Esteli, Nicaragua at the Tabacalera Fernandez factory. Fernandez learned everything he knows about tobacco and cigarmaking from his late grandfather, cigar legend Alejandro Robaina.

  The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
  Ecuador is the perfect place to grow wrappers, because it is located on the Equator! And it has rich soils too. The weather conditions, with a nearly permanent cloudy sky, provide a natural shade, protecting the wrapper plants from sunshine and allowing the tobacco to grow thin and light. This climate allows tobacco growers to grow Connecticut-seed wrapper in the shade without shade cloths, resulting in more economical wrapper.

  The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together. 
  Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.
